The Roma Education Fund (REF) is happy to announce that it will organise a press conference aiming to introduce its winning project on Early Childhood Education and Care, support by a grant from the EU of almost 2 million Euros, to be distributed in four countries of Europe. The official project launch was on 4th June 2010.

The press conference will share detailed information about the “A Good Start” project activities. The project will actively involve more than 5,000 Roma children, their parents, both the Roma and the non-Roma community, teachers, local authorities, ministries, several educational, and healthcare experts in bringing the expected change. The project will work in 16 communities across in Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Macedonia over a 22 month project period.

As an opening of the press conference, Toby Linden, Director of REF will introduce project partner organizations, and review project activities and aims in each country. Afterwards, all interested media representatives are invited to put their questions about the programme, about REF and all participating organizations through the Q&A session. All questions will be answered by Toby Linden, REF Director, Szilvia Pallaghy, Pilot Project Manager and Jeno Zsiga, Financial and Administrative Manager.
