  • The Financial Officer will be a part of the Financial and Administration Department of REF. The Financial and Administrative Department is responsible for the overall financial management of REF, including the grant making, grant monitoring, contracting and risk management processes.

  • Roma Memorial University Scholarship Program (RMUSP) is seeking members for its National Selection Boards (NSB) in Serbia and Kosovo. The NSB will participate in the evaluation and selection process of REF Scholarship Program (REF SP) beneficiaries in Serbia and in Kosovo for the academic year 2018-2019.

  • Misrepresentation or total absence of Roma are both typical in the hundreds of schoolbooks reviewed by the eight Junior Researchers who participated in a discourse analysis workshop last week. The seminar is part of the project titled Representation of Roma in European Curricula and Textbooks, run by REF, the Council of Europe, and the Georg Eckert Institute.

  • The Roma Education Fund (REF) is looking for Gender Mainstream Consultant to ensure gender sensitive project intervention in Western Balkans and Turkey. This is a short-term consultancy engagement in the frames of the REF’s project “Increased education opportunities for Roma students and Roma youth in Western Balkans and Turkey”, funded by European Union. The Consultant should identify opportunities and entry points for mainstreaming gender into the Project.

  • Roma Education Fund defines a new strategic direction for 2021-2030 based on an assessment of REF’s operations, trends and approaches to promote inclusive education and counter discrimination and priorities to achieve its mission. The framework provides a simplified Theory of Change showing the logic of how interventions contribute to achieving REF’s mission.

  • In order to strengthen the financial monitoring and improve the transparency of the management of the grant program, REF has decided to perform an independent financial review of the projects with an overall budget over EUR 50,000 that are committed from 2016. In the current project portfolio of REF there are 18 projects that are subject to an annual audit according to this decision, out of the 18 projects 3 has a total budget over EUR 150,000.

  • In April 2018 Roma Education Fund launched our project to support the studies and employment of young Roma in Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. The program will support beneficiaries through four academic years from 1 April 2018 until 31 December 2022. The call for Hungarian Roma young parents in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county and Budapest has just opened, REF now awaits applications. 

  • 2018 áprilisában a Roma Oktatási Alap elindította a roma fiatalok tanulmányait és munkavállalását támogató projektjét. 2018. április 1-je és 2022. december 31-e között négy tanulmányi éven keresztül támogatunk Magyarországon, Szlovákiában és Romániában élő roma fiatalokat.
