  • The Roma Education Fund’s (REF) mission and ultimate goal is to close the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma. In order to achieve this goal, the organization supports policies and programs which ensure quality education for Roma through scholarships, grant making and advocacy activities. The objectives of REF include:

  • Roma Education Fund is seeking a Communication Officer for the REF Network Headquarter Office in Budapest. The Communications Officer is part of a collaborative and fast-paced team which includes the Fundraising Officer and the Senior Communications Officer.

  • Since 2009 Roma Education Fund has published Country Assessments, which had the purpose of collection and analyzing country level data to inform Roma Education Fund, partners, and other interested parties on the demographics of Roma, the educational system, the status of Roma in education, health, housing, and other socioeconomic indicators. In addition, past country assessments have documented government and donor commitments, as well as REFs historical commitments and future strategy. 

  • The Roma Education Fund (REF) is looking for the part-time Country Facilitator position to ensure implementation of the project activities in Turkey (Mersin) within the REF project “Increased education opportunities for Roma students and Roma youth in Western Balkans” funded by European Union.

  • Roma Memorial University Scholarship Program (RMUSP) is seeking members for its National Selection Boards (NSB) in Kosovo. The NSB will participate in the evaluation and selection process of REF Scholarship Program (REF SP) beneficiaries in Kosovo for the academic year 2018-2019.

  • The Roma Education Fund (REF) is looking for Gender Mainstream Consultant to ensure gender sensitive project intervention in Western Balkans and Turkey. This is a short-term consultancy engagement in the frames of the REF’s project “Increased education opportunities for Roma students and Roma youth in Western Balkans and Turkey”, funded by European Union. The Consultant should identify opportunities and entry points for mainstreaming gender into the Project.

  • Roma Education Fund (REF) is seeking seven  Research Assistants (RA) be a key member of a team tasked to conduct a community needs assessment in Western Balkans and Turkey for the project Increased Education Opportunities for Roma Students and Roma Youth. This is a short-term and part-time opportunity of two months, where the research assistants will develop data collection methodology and implement field research, as well as assist in data processing, analysis and drafting a report.
